Information we collect on this website
We do not collect personal information from visitors to this website. There are no cookies, no advertising pixels, no visitor tracking and no analytics software on these pages. All fonts, images and other files these pages need are served from our own website, so your visit is not reported to any outside company.
Like any website, the company that hosts our pages keeps routine server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to identify individual visitors.
Forms on this site
Several pages have forms, including the employment application, the reasonable modification request and the contact form. These forms are not submitted over the internet and are not stored on this website. When you click submit, the information you entered is placed into a new message in your own email program, addressed to the appropriate staff member. Nothing is sent until you review it and send it yourself, and you may cancel at that point.
Once you send that email, the information in it is handled the same way as any other message or paper form you give us.
Information you give us directly
To register you as a rider, schedule trips, process an employment application or respond to a request or complaint, we collect information such as your name, address, phone number, email address and the details relevant to your request. Riders may also give us information about a disability or a needed accommodation.
We use this information only to provide and improve transit service, to respond to you, and to meet the reporting requirements of the funding agencies listed below. We keep it as long as required by state and federal records retention rules.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for marketing. We may share information with the Ohio Department of Transportation, the Federal Transit Administration, or other agencies where required for program reporting, audits or civil rights compliance, and where required by law.
Meigs County Public Transit is a service of Meigs County Job and Family Services and is a public agency. Records we hold may be subject to Ohio public records law, which requires disclosure of some records on request. Certain information, including medical and disability information, is protected from disclosure.
